Detailed Information About Aadhar Card

In order to meet the needs of the population of India and to centralize the data relating to the Indian people, Government of India established UIDAI. Under the Umbrella of UDAI, numerous Aadhar Enrollment Centre were established in 2010 to register people for Aadhar card. Aadhar Card is an all in one document that contains all the information of the people. It encompasses 12 digit unique identification number. This will never change in your life and in other words, it is your identity in India for every task you want to perform.

The face of the Aadhar Card contains name four basic items which are as follows:
Name: Your name is printed on the card, make sure while your data entry for your records are entered in enrollment Centre, double check the spelling to avoid any future problems. We have seen people facing severe problems at the time of admissions and marriage when there entered details do not match with Aadhar card details.

Father: Your card also contains your father name. As said earlier, double check the spelling to avoid any issues in the future.

Gender: Your gender is important and as such, it is written on the Aadhar card

DOB: Date of Birth is also mentioned on the card, this is the main identification factor. That is why it is used on card.

Aadhar Number: It is the real output of your Aadhar application process. Once all your records are entered and your credentials are properly verified using supportive documents, you are given card that clearly mention Aadhar at the bottom.

When you supply all the supporting documents at the Aadhar Enrollment Centre, you have to wait few weeks before your card gets ready to be delivered. Normally, it takes 10 - 15 days for the delivery of your card at your registered address. Make sure, you give the right postal address when providing details at the data entry desk. 

Once you card is delivered, you will get an SMS message on your registered mobile number email id. Previously, the time was around 50 days but after revamp of the entire process, UIDAI has significantly reduced the time period for the generation of Card.

It is your responsibility to well take care of your aadhar card. It should not be given to any other person either in original or in copy. Anyone can use it for illegal purpose and to cheat you as well. If at any time of your life, you lose this card, immediately lodge a complaint against the lost to secure yourself in case, your card is used for illegal purpose.

Aadhar Card is a white background color card with Indian flag printed on the top which gives it a decent look. Also there is a QR Code printed on the bottom right side of the card that allows easy verification at any Government approved organization. Please keep in mind that it is the mandatory document that is required for making other secondary documents such as passport, permanent bank account and linking your employment applications.
